Custom Piezocomposite Materials

   One of the key ingredients in Blatek’s recipe for superior, high performance ultrasound transducers is our custom piezoelectric material. Our family of top quality, custom piezocomposites is the result of many years of acoustic and materials development by our team of scientists, engineers and technicians coupled with over a decade of in-house process development and our significant investment in state of the art fabrication equipment.

   Until recently, our PZT based piezocomposite was exclusively utilized in the Blatek line of ultrasonic transducers. We are now offering a limited line of custom piezo electric components that can be purchased for integration into our customer’s own line of transducers. We can offer finished - plated, poled and tested components or we can offer unplated, unpoled substrates with a ground or lapped surface that allows the customer to apply their own electrode.

   In addition to our piezocomposite metals we also offer a select line of fabricated to size acoustic, front face matching materials and machined to size backings.
